Even I’m tempted to get this frugal little camper to get me to and from the ever-growing range of summer festivals – if I could guarantee it not getting tipped over ;)

The Bufalino camper concept comes equipped with all the comforts you’d expect a single compact camper to have apart from its own toilet and shower cubicle. But then who showers at a festival anyhow? That’s what baby wipes are for!

The Bufalino is the brainchild of German industrial designer Cornelius Comanns and is based on the Piaggio APE 50 three-wheeler.

Notice how this shows the user hooked-up with a lap top?  I wonder if it comes with a Mi-Fi point?

I’m guessing things will be a little bit more secure in this thing than my pop-up tent.

Check out more pics and stuff here.

You all should know by now that I’m a complete sucker for cute gadgets.

Well, when I saw this little fella my heart melted.

Behind those eyes are a camera and a projector and that cheery grin hides the mic.

Yup – this adorable thing is René Woo-Ram Lee‘s concept design for a camera and pico projector.

Those feet, as well as enabling the unit to stand on a table without a tripod (which can be added if needs be – see gallery below) also double up as covers for the external connection jack.

It’s getting close to that time of year when more iPod rumours, leaks and guesses abound. There’s plenty of journalists already covering the new Covent Garden Apple Store – as nice and as large as it is; it’s still just another retail outlet. I’m going to let the other sites deal with those until there’s [...]

Well, I reckon that the days of bland-looking but ecologically lovely cars is behind us. If you check out the latest breed of electro and hybrid autos you can see that green is no-longer the only selling point. The likes of AMG, Jaguar and Lotus (albeit sporting a Tesla badge) are leading the way but [...]

Thumbnail image for Whirlpool Sub Tub is Cribs-tastic!

This looks like something straight out of MTV Cribs but could, in the future, be found in bathrooms that are short of space. You see, the ‘Sub-Tub’ is the latest concept from Whirlpool. You get a decent, deep bath with a huge OLED TV (see the futureness?) to start with. But, when it’s not bath-night [...]

Back in the day people used to check an ornate barometer that hung on their hall wall or perhaps some sea-weed pinned to a fence before heading out just to check that they were wearing the correct clothes for the weather. Obviously we now have dedicated weather updates on television, radio, internet widgets, coat hooks [...]

Yup, me too! The first time I spied that fancy font I though that the designers had made a faux pas – fortunately this LG concept is called the Flutter. See? Fan. Flutter. Clever eh? Although this rather cool concept is badged as an LG handset the design is the winning entry to the “Design [...]

We’ve all been there. Getting home considerably later than planned after “just going for a couple of drinks with friends” you’re faced with the ultimate sobriety test – the ‘key in the door’ game. No matter how slowly, carefully, and skilfully you aim that slither of metal at the now impossibly slim hole it keeps [...]

Thumbnail image for ClamCase Transforms iPad into Keyboard Equipped Touchscreen Laptop

Here’s a natty little concept that promises to give your iPad an “all-in-one keyboard, case and stand”. So, essentially, the ClamCase will transform your iPad into a pseudo-laptop. The keyboard connects to your iPad via Bluetooth and the whole thing will make it look like you’ve got a touchscreen laptop so that other users of [...]

If the Predator was looking for a wristphone chances are he’d give Erik Campbell a nudge. His Samsung concept is aimed towards athletes, outdoor sports enthusiasts and of course futuristic hunters from other planets. The mobile device sports an OLED touchscreen as well as a tactile keypad all wrapped up using flexible electronics so as [...]

This contraption looks like what would’ve happened should Alien had a cross-over film with Chorlton and the Wheelies (check video below if that doesn’t ring a bell). The thing you see before you is the work of Art Center College of Design’s Jake Loniak and is kinda like a wearable motorcycle which is dubbed the [...]

We’re all starting to realise that Hybrid doesn’t always have to mean boring. But Crave have brought to my knowledge a truly droolworthy hybrid motor. They’re at the Geneva Motor Show and got up close and personal with the gorgeous 918 Spyder. Instead of getting some hippies to chill out around the Stuttgart factory chatting [...]

Thumbnail image for Aurora Laser Watch may Create Bald Patch

I prefer my watches to be analogue and whilst most of the ones I own are from the 50′s-70′s every now-and-then there’s a cool modern watch that catches my eye. This ‘Aurora Watch‘ displays traditional minute and hour hands but in a very 21st Century way. How does the sound of touch activated laser hands [...]

It’s not even a week ago since the iPad was officially announced and already little iAdd-ons are appearing. Michael Greenberg’s iDrift is a simple steering wheel that encases the new Apple tablet This is a great idea for driving games I guess and a lot more straight-forward to produce when compared to the Wii’s wheel. [...]

Thumbnail image for Nokia Orion – A Gaming Phone That I’d Consider Owning

Remember the Nokia N-Gage? Cool idea but I found the large, bulky handset based on Nokia’s Series 60 platform less than enticing. Well those phone futurists over at Recombu have decided that there’s a significant gap in the market for a gaming phone – hush all those that are screaming “what about the iPhone!?!”. This [...]
