GorillaPod Magnetic – Guess What’s New?

by Jay Garrett on February 18, 2010

Everybody’s favourite go-anywhere tripod, the GorillaPod, has just gotten even more versatile!

The bendy tripod has now got magnetic feet meaning that no metallic surface is safe from being mounted by a camera – so to speak.

GorillaPod Magnetic is still the same posable marvel that we all know and love from the ankles up; but should you require a shot taken from the fridge door, from the roof of your car or in a pole-dancing club like the one in the pic seems to be – GorillaPod Magnetic is the one to get.

Although it’s still not as cute as DigiDude.

Expect it out around April :)

More phone news – well, the Mobile Word Congress aint far off is it? ;)

It appears that Sony Ericsson’s latest lovely, the Vivaz, has cropped up on Vodafone’s website with a UK launch date.

The new 8.1MP camera phone will be available on Vodafone from March with prices still under wraps but you can register for updates if you’re keen to get it on with the shiny Symbian touchscreen blower.

So what do you get other than the scaled down (well, compared to the Satio) 8.1 megapixel autofocus snapper? How’s about HSDPA and Wi-Fi for fast surfing, and GPS as well as HD video recording?

Other appealing goodies include FM radio, TV-out at VGA resolution.

The Vivaz will also be sold in four colour pallets astronomically named: Moon Silver, Cosmic Black, Galaxy Blur and Venus Ruby.

The Satio is now showing as being sold out – so are you going to be signing up for a Vivaz?
