Photographers spend a lot of time outdoors capturing nature, human interaction with its environment and such like. It’s a thirsty and sometimes very cold job and/or hobby and Cannon knows this.

This is why Canon handed out a thermal travel mug shaped like a lens to the press at the Vancouver Olympics.

Many of you keen snappers must’ve lusted after such a cool limited edition novelty – Well, now you can pre-order one for yourself for a mere $30 CAD.

Mmmmmmmmm………… caffeine from a thermal lens cup…………..

Go here and get your freezing fingers wrapped one :)

Aurora Laser Watch may Create Bald Patch

by Jay Garrett on February 28, 2010

I prefer my watches to be analogue and whilst most of the ones I own are from the 50’s-70’s every now-and-then there’s a cool modern watch that catches my eye.

This ‘Aurora Watch‘ displays traditional minute and hour hands but in a very 21st Century way.

How does the sound of touch activated laser hands suit you?

Yup – Jihun Yeom has designed this wristwatch and decided to use lasers to indicate the time. The red laser showing minutes and blue for the hours. There’s actually no word as to whether the lasers will also trim your arm hairs.

Unfortunately, the Aurora is still a concept.

It’s [...]

Remember the funky Canadian Uno concept from last year?
Part TT Racer, Part unicycle. You know, the unholy coupling of a Yamaha R6 and a Segway?
It blew me away with its almost Akira futurism.
Now it’s a really real thing and you’d think that I’d still be blown away – even more so now it’s a [...]

I’m going to have to try and resist the urge for water-based mammal puns throughout this article.
Righty – the story.
Universal has unveiled the first Blu-ray/DVD ‘flipper discs’ – so named because they’ll be packing both the Blu-ray and DVD versions of a film on the same platter.
No accident – they did this on porpoise.
Gah!
Anyhow, A [...]

You go to buy a camera and chances are you resign yourself to it being a black box more often than not.
Short of taking your DSLR to a gadgety colouring specialist like Colorware you’d usual be stuck.
