Dyson’s Latest Fan – Air Multiplier

by Jay Garrett on October 13, 2009

Air MultiplierDyson, the UK maker of those vacuum cleaners that made housework cool and the Airblade hand dryer has revealed an equally cool fan :)

Head on over to Dyson’s Fan page right now and enjoy the funky design.

The twist to the new air cooler is that it’s a bladeless desk fan that uses Air Multiplier™ technology to generate smooth, uninterrupted airflow with no unpleasant buffeting.

The Dyson unveiling happened in London this morning.

The invite that went out says Dyson has “reinvented another familiar device”.

Indeed it has :)

The cost for both the 10 and 12 inch models is £199.99 each

green-notebooksApple just announced new MacBook Pro models with the same upgraded, 7-hour battery life as the 17-inch MacBook Pro. It’ll also feature an SD-card slot.

Apple promises the battery will last 5 years in the same body we’ve come to know and love, along with upgrades across the board: A 3.06 GHz Dual Core Intel processor, 8GB of memory, a 500GB 7200rpm HDD, all at $1,699—$300 less than the current model.

The MacBooks have been given a bit of a spec bump for their 13 inch MacBook and so brings it into MacBook Pro territory. It gets the backlit keyboard, SD card slot and the option to be loaded with up to 8GB of RAM.

Also new MacBook Airs get a price cut to $1499 for the base Air – $1799 with a 256GB SSD. $700 cheaper than before.

Those who know me will already be aware that I like inked skin – not silly cartoon characters or names of lovers: I mean body art that means something to the wearer and will continue to mean something when the ink has faded and the skin gone wrinkly.
If I hadn’t moved from Yorkshire to London [...]

Now, perhaps the fact that we’re dangerously close to April Fools Day or that I’m preparing myself for the increase of Apple flavoured rumours as we get closer to this year’s WWDC – I’m treating this as a ‘perhaps/maybe/rumour’.
I know that there has been rumblings about an Apple Netbook – but that was bolstered by the order of [...]

It will, of course, work with your normal vision via [...]

The Police riding mountain bikes.
The Police on roller blades.
The Police riding scooters.
Now, none of the above really strikes fear into me, a law abiding citizen.

Until, that is, they realise that the scooter is the Lamperd Less Lethal’s new T3 Mobile Defender.
