Could it be that even the most ardent of Blackberry owners are preparing to turn their backs on their QWERTY machines once the iPhone 4G or iPhone HD is released?
This seems to be the case according to a survey conducted by Crowd Science. It revealed that a staggering 2 out of 5 Blackberry users said that they would to move over to the Appley handset once their contract comes up for renewal.
It appears that the major hang-up that the RIM phone lovers have is the lack of security features on the iPhone – you know, the backdoors that allow people to jailbreak the iPhone OS.
Are you a Blackberry user? Are you tempted to defect over and join us on the Apple side of the street?
Ok, so I had dubious pics before and now here’s an equally dubious vid that points to the iPhone 4G following the Zune naming method and appearing as the iPhone HD.
According to this ‘leaked commercial’ the next gen iPhone sports a radically new chassis in which to house the higher powered camera and the front facing camera.
Word on the street is that the 4G data chips might not be ready for a Summer release of the iPhone 4G which could cause a delay or perhaps a renaming – iPhone HD?
I think I could get used to the design in the vid but how genuine is it? Is this just the musing of another talented and bored fanboy/girl or could this be a glimpse into what to expect?
Now leaks are one thing and, being the untrusting fellow that I am, even though I want these shots of the iPhone 4G to be real I can’t help but shout ‘render!’.
True; plenty of work has gone into this and the exposed brickwork setting is very tasteful but something isn’t sitting right.
I like the idea [...]
This is what I’ve been expecting/hoping but now ‘industry experts’ are saying that the Apple iPhone 4G will look quite different from the iPhone 3GS.
Alriiiiiiiiiiiiiight!
Barclays analyst Ben Reitzes reckons that Apple “will try to change the game on everybody – it bothers them that everyone stole their form factor.”
I can totally see where he’s [...]
Near Field Communication seems to be on the cards for Apple’s next gen iPhone looking at the new Apple patents.
Imagine being able to use your iPhone to open doors, as a travel card or to unlock your Macbook.
Late last year there was hinatge in another Apple patent that RFID and their Grab and Go app [...]
Now, you may have figured out that I like a decent rumour served with a hefty slice of gossip.
According to iPhone repair site, iResQ, the next generation of iPhone is going to be super-sized and not Nanoed.
iResQ has posted photos of what it says is the case for the iPhone 4G and, as you can [...]
This going to be a regular feature on the run-up to the 27th and, hopefully, some big Appley announcements.
Latest from the rumour-mill is that the next gen iPhone will be sporting an OLED screen and a have removable battery just like the new gPhone, Nexus One.
There’s rumblings that iPhone 4G could have a front-facing camera [...]
Chatting to some of my buddies last week we discussed the importance of the next iPhone having a better camera and thought that the rumoured 5MP replacement was a good idea.
The point I made was that I could live with the 3MP version in exchange for a decent flash.
Hello – what is this? It [...]
As soon as I posted the news that Apple has booked the venue for the next WWDC I wondered about fresh iPhone rumours.
As if by magic Digitimes has some news passed to them via some source or another.
Apparently OmniVision Technologies, those that currently manufacturer the iPhone 3GS‘ 3.2-megapixel CMOS image sensor, has been awarded with [...]
Ah, June 8th 2009 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. I’m sure you remember it well.
That was this year’s Apple Worldwide Developers conference. The one that brought us the iPhone 3GS.
Well, it seems that Apple had such a good time there that they’ve already booked a “Corporate Event” at the Moscone [...]
You know how it is.
We were happy with 3G when it came out but that was like ages ago!
We need 4G now!
You may have heard that those lucky TeliaSonera customers over in Sweden and Norway have got access to the speedy service and, as not to be left out, so has Slough!
Where the 4G is [...]
Yup – if you’re coming to the end of your contract, such as I, then the world could be your lobster!
O2 has confirmed that iPhone users are “entirely free” to move to another network after their contract is up for £14.97 – thus allowing customers to unlock their iPhones to work on different networks.
On the [...]
As my contract is almost coming to an end this news is quite interesting – perhaps a tad galling for those who pounced on the iPhone 3Gs though.
China OnTrade lists the “Apple iPhone 4 Generation Midboard” for $23.42, in stock and shipping within 12 business days.
The midboard itself is unremarkable as it doesn’t [...]
I know that my 3Gesus phone and those of my two bandmates have all been hit by the coma so we’re pretty happy that this minor update to the iPhone OS should fix some that and the other annoying issues that some users have been having.
Also it will stop Rom from being so smug with [...]
iLounge have already posted a picture of the iPod nano 5G – well a mock up anyhoo.
The next iPod nano won’t be out til later this year at the earliest but this pic is apparently a good idea of what the next version of the petite PMP will look like.
Latest tipsters have pointed at the [...]
I’m still not bored with all these iPhone rumours and this one is no exception!
It looks like the next gen iPhone will not be outdone by the new Zune and will also feature HD playback.
According to PhoneNews Apple is having its retailers clear out the Apple Composite AV Cable and Apple Component AV Cable becuase these [...]
MacRumors have spotted Apple’s latest patent application for a new iPhone.
Loads of people, like me, can’t wait to see the much anticipated new iPhone and the new patent points to something pretty groovy!
On that patent diagram, the iPhone has gained a front-facing camera.
So?
Well, this means that you’ll be able to get down to some video [...]
I think that most of us are pretty certain that a new iPhone model (maybe even two if the iPhone Nano makes an appearance) will be announced in June.
Now the Commercial Times have chipped in with a report that states components from Taiwan-based suppliers have started being shipped to Apple’s China-based assemblers in preparation for [...]
Slashgear have got some interesting news about one of the iPhone’s achilles heals.
That camera it’s stuck with aint brilliant although the Flickr stats show that many folk are happy taking pics with it.
But, if these Far Eastern sources aren’t telling porkies, Apple may well be fitting the next gen iPhone with a 3.2-megapixel camera, with nothing other than a 5-megapixel sensor coming [...]
We’ve all heard that there could well be a new iPhone for 2009 – but howsabout 3?
A Canadian (I have to believe them then as I’m Canadian!) research firm called Canaccord Adams predicts that Apple is planning to release three new iPhone models this year!
According to this rumor Apple would release a top of the [...]
