250GB Xbox Kinect Bundle Coming – Fact!

by Jay Garrett on August 9, 2010

Microsoft is releasing a 250GB Xbox 360 Kinect bundle just in case you thought that the 4GB version wasn’t hardcore enough.

Before you skim read this for the words ‘apparently’ or ‘according to rumour’ this is a thing of Antipodean fact folks!

Those eagle-eyed folk over at Joystiq got wind that the boxes of the Australian 4GB Xbox 360 Kinect bundle blatantly shows that there’s also a 250GB option.

As well as it having those beefy 250GB’s of storage it will also be nice and shiny.

So – do you choose the matte 4GB or the glossy 250GB? Both obviously come with the Kinect sensor – it’s a bundle after all!

There’s no indication what games the 250GB version will come with but Kinect Adventures should be a standard offering methinks ;)

No mention of prices either just yet – keep coming back and as soon as I know you will :)

Microsoft Kinect UK Release Date Leaked by Stores

by Jay Garrett on July 26, 2010

The Xbox 360 motion controller has been given a UK release date – but this announcement hasn’t come from Microsoft.

It seems that HMV, The Hut and Play.com couldn’t wait to tell the world that Kinect will be hitting these shores on November 19th.

These online retailers are offering the Kinect for pre-order and let slip that it will be available just in time for gamer’s to add to their lists to Santa.

As you Gadgety News readers will already be aware; the new wave your arms and jump around controller got an official UK pricing last week and partners the new Xbox 360 Slim console – the first batches of which quickly sold out.

If you agree with the general feeling that £130 is a bit steep for the add-on (£250 bundled with a new Xbox 360 S) then, if you can, wait til after crimbo as a number of industry experts are predicting that the Kinect will come down to a sub £100 price point ;)

I reckon if I was after a new Xbox and Kinect I’d go for the silver HALO console and then wait til the January sales to buy Kinect.
