Star Trek VoIP Skype Communicator

by Jay Garrett on February 5, 2009

voip_communicatorJust in time for the new Star Trek flick here’s a replica communicator complete with an added bonus.

You can actually use it to call over long-distances, perhaps to be beamed-up or to announce that “there’s life, but not as we know it…”

All over VoIP - why not use it with the all-new Skype 4.0?

Dream Cheeky will be releasing this fab gadgety comm-link in April.

The phone/communicator will play nice with XP, Vista and OS X Tiger or greater, and comes with speakerphone, mute and volume control functions, as well as an assortment of Star Trek related sound bites like “Transporter room ready to beam up.”

No price has been mentioned but it will be a heck of a lot cheaper than the Samsung A837 which was the nearest to a functioning communicator I’ve seen :)
