Transatlantic flights, as well as those to Europe, can still be confusing for travellers. What gadgets can you take in hand luggage? What has to go in the hold? Peli cases are renowned for their protection, but they’re just for professional equipment, surely?
I have a trip back to Canada coming up. Even though it isn’t happening til September I am already checking out decent hard cases. We’ve all seen how some baggage handlers ‘handle’ baggage, right?
How safe is your tech in the hold?
A major concern for UK travellers with regards to the new restrictions on what tech you can take on certain flights is how safe your gadge will be when stored in the hold.
The new travel rules mean that laptops, iPads, consoles, cameras, e-readers, gaming and electronic camera equipment larger than 16cm x 9.3cm x 1.5cm will have to be placed in the hold of the plane – and not allowed to be carried in hand baggage.
