NASA iPhone App – Check Out What’s Happening in Outerspace and Watch Space Junk Orbit Earth

by Jay Garrett on October 27, 2009

nasaiphoneAnyone with the slightest interest in what happens in the area above our atmosphere *must* get this new free iPhone app from NASA!

Yup – if the boring commute gets too much you can flip through the universe. How many other apps can do that?

You get to access NASA’s actual countdown clocks, view the NASA Image of the Day, Astronomy Image of the Day as well as follow their Twitter feeds and view their latest videos.

My favourite has to be the option to track spacecraft and other bits of space junk that are currently in orbit, following their paths through space.

It’s free, it’s interesting and you might even learn summink – where’s the downside?

Go and zoom over to the iTunes App Store.

Space……………
The final frontier………

This is all kinds of cool !
I am extremely interested in space stuff and this just makes access to things so much easier.
Another way to spend those boring dinner breaks at work ;-)
