by Jay Garrett on May 27, 2009

zune-hdThe Zune HD has just been made official, and it’s an OLED touchscreen PMP all pumped up and ready to do battle with the iPod touch.

So after all the rumours what’s the Zune HD packing?

Well, it shall be sporting a 3.3 inch, 480×272 OLED multitouch screen (Similar to the Sony X Series Walkman) and 720p HD video out to a TV.

The Zune HD will also be rockin Wi-Fi and a browser based on Internet Explorer as well as HD radio (No DAB for us Brits sadly).

No more details than that just yet, but Microsoft says more will be coming at E3.

Aint E3 a games show?

Well, Microsoft are bringing the Zune store to Xbox LIVE Video Marketplace.

Will this mean the Xbox LIVE game support we’ve heard whispers about?

Microsoft says there are no plans at the moment to bring the Zune HD to Europe when it ships to the US – surprised?
