Mobileread just got a bunch of official-looking Kindle 2 photos, which show it in various states being held and read, plus info that it’s being released for $359 on February 24.
It was first shot out in the wild in October but these look like the real deal 
Going by the pics the new reader looks to have lost it’s winter layer and slimmed down quite a bit, it may even a bit smaller too.
Or the person holding it may have great bear paws for hands as the Kindle goes from the tip of his middle finger to slightly below his wrist.
The photos may look pretty special and the news, by association, may seem official, but until there’s a press release I can’t say with 100% certainty that this is going to be the real price or actual release.
We’ll all just have to wait to see what, if anything, Amazon says.
